Step 4 - Responding to the Review

After the Site Visit

The team chair sends the team’s completed evaluation report to the Dean six weeks of the site visit. The Dean forwards the team’s review to the Department Head, EVCAA, AVC-undergraduate education or AVC-graduate education, and AVC-program review.

Within 8-12 weeks from receipt of the reviewer's report, the program writes an internal response to the team’s evaluation for the Dean, EVCAA, and AVCs. The response includes an evaluation of the team's recommendations and identifies the items deemed viable to improve the program in ways consistent with its integrated planning and strategic development processes.

Once the program's response is received, the Department Head, Area Coordinator or DGS (if applicable), Dean, EVCAA, AVC-program review, and AVC-undergraduate education and/or AVC-graduate education may call a meeting to discuss the team's review and the program's response.

During the spring or summer, the Dean writes an administrative summary for the program reviews conducted in the college for the year. The summary may be program specific (one document per program reviewed) or inclusive of all program reviews that occurred during the year. These documents are shared with the Department Heads of the respective programs as well as the EVCAA and AVCs.

These program review documents are resources to inform the program's development and improvement activities and may be used to inform administrative decisions.
